DAV is continuing to monitor news and trends associated with the Coronavirus, as well as the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). At this time, we are planning to proceed as scheduled with our 2020 National Convention in Dallas.
If our convention plans change, we will update dav.org/events/2020-national-convention/ and use other DAV channels to inform all of our members. We value your patience and understanding during this extraordinary time.
While this situation continues to unfold, it is with a full heart that DAV wishes each and every one of you the very best. For your safety and the safety of your loved ones, we continue to encourage you to follow the instructions given by the CDC to the best of your ability. DAV is stronger with you healthy and involved in our organization. We also sincerely appreciate all of your efforts in maintaining our local programs and services to veterans and their families. We truly march together as one.
Furthermore, please be sure to check out the enclosed flyer of commemorative items. It includes DAV’s coin honoring our historic centennial anniversary and numerous ways to proudly display your coin collection.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to reach out to your fellow department and chapter members as a way to stay socially connected while maintaining physical distance. This could be as simple as a phone call or a video meeting, but a little human interaction can go a long way during such difficult and isolated times.
